CANDLE CARE:
~ When you first light your candle, allow it to burn until the melted wax has spread across the entire top surface. This initial step helps the candle function more effectively and ensures a consistent and pleasing burn. This will also prevent a hole from forming down the center of the candle (often called tunneling).
~ Always supervise a burning candle and never leave it unattended. Trim the wick to around the length of your pinky nail (1/4 inch). If the flame becomes overly large, extinguish the candle, trim the wick shorter, and then relight.
~ Place the burning candle on a heat-resistant surface. Refrain from moving it while it's hot or still lit. If the glass around the candle becomes exceptionally hot, it's time to blow out the flame. Keep the candle away from drafty areas and out of reach from younger children and pets.
